Zusammenfassung: | In the years 1982-1985, more than compounds were evaluated in comparison to the standards valeric acid and hexanoic acid for attractancy to adult rose chafers, Macrodactylus subspinosus (F.), under field conditions. Many new, effective lures were discovered, including octyl butyrate; nonyl butyrate; 1-nonanol, a binary mixture of valeric and hexanoic acids (1:1); and the trinary valeric acid + hexanoic acid + octyl butyrate (1: 1:1). Trap color was proven to influence beetle attractancy; white traps were superior to yellow traps. |
