Zusammenfassung:From the study of the meristic and morphometric characteristics of 229 larvae and juveniles of transparented and stained fish using the Hollister's technique (1939), five species of sardine and one anchovy (from the fisheries samples) were identified. This material was collected by the Finfish Program of the Gulf of Mexico in the area of Celestum, Yucatan, with a very fine mesh net.
