Zusammenfassung:A small shrimp representing a new genus and species of the family Bresiliidae is described from the Galapagos Islands. The shape of the rostrum and chelipeds relates the genus to species of Bresilia, but the animal has a flagellum on the exopod of the first maxilliped. Comparison of the new species with those of Bresilia, Alvinocaris, and Rimicaris indicates gradual morphological change related to feeding in deep-sea environments.
