Design of potent and selective antagonists of the vasopressor responses to arginine-vasopressin

The authors have synthesized eight new 1- beta , beta -dialkyl-substituted analogues of (1-deamino)arginine-vasopressin (dAVP) to determine some of the structural features that account for antivasopressor potency and that improve selectivity by reducing antidiuretic agonistic activity.
