All-trans retinoic acid and rapamycin synergize with transforming growth factor- beta 1 to induce regulatory T cells but confer different migratory capacities

TGF- beta plus rapamycin-induced regulatory T cells (iTreg) are comparable to iTreg induced with TGF- beta plus retinoic acid in their suppressive capacity, but reveal distinct migration patterns in vivo that affect their therapeutic use.
