Zusammenfassung:Several studies on the neurotoxicity of aluminum chlorohydrate are described. This research has demonstrated significant alterations in various biochemical parameters of the nervous system, particularly the cholinergic neurotransmission system. Noncompetitive inhibition of purified acetylcholinesterase by aluminum chlorohydrate is described. The effects of environmental aluminum on the North American bullfrog are also surveyed.
