Some effects of predaceous ants on western spruce budworm pupae in north central Washington [Choristoneura occidentalis]

Predators killed about 95% of the western spruce budworm, Choristoneura occidentalis Freeman, pupae placed in one site in north central Washington. The authors infer that most of this mortality was caused by foraging ants.
