International aspirations for speech-language pathologists’ practice with multilingual children with speech sound disorders: Development of a position paper

Highlights • An international panel created a position paper for working with multilingual children with speech sound disorders. • The 57 international collaborators had worked in 33 countries and spoke 26 languages. • Areas addressed include referral, assessment, intervention, cultural competence, and collaboration with communities and professionals. • The position paper applied the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health: Children and Youth.
