Zusammenfassung:In The Lancet, Massimo Imazio and colleagues report on the Colchicine for Recurrent Pericarditis 2 (CORP-2) trial for treatment of multiple recurrences of pericarditis. This study answers one of the last questions about the role of colchicine for the treatment of pericarditis. The findings should help convince clinicians of the major role of colchicine in the treatment of patients with either acute or recurrent (even multiple) pericarditis, and should change clinical practice.
