Zusammenfassung:Dense medium cyclones are used extensively in the minerals processing industry around the world and cyclones with larger diameters have been introduced in recent years. Although cyclones have been in use for well over 60 years, the influence of the different process variables such as cyclone dimensions, feed pressure, medium properties and feed rates are not yet fully understood. Some of these aspects are discussed in the paper.
