Zusammenfassung:The ash, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, protein and proteinic and free amino acids content of P. australis has been assessed and compared with data obtained from similar analyses on P. oceanica . Selected comparisons have also been made with Cymodocea nodosa, Thalassia testudinum, Halophila stipulacea, Zostera marina and Zostera noltii . Amino acid content has also been compared with that recorded for lucerne, and hay composed of several species of Gramineae.
