The aim of this study is the evaluation of the possible predictive role of intragastric balloon when used before laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding. Methods A longitudinal multicenter study was conducted in patients with body mass index (BMI)>35 kg/m2 who underwent gastric banding with the BioEnterics Intragastric Balloon (BIB).
