Pseudomonas aeruginosa O-polysaccharide-protein conjugate vaccines

Our studies toward vaccine development have been aimed at synthesizing a conjugate vaccine capable of eliciting both an antitoxic and an anti-LPS immune response. To accomplish this, we took advantage of the fact that serologically reactive O-antigenic determinants (hereafter termed O-polysaccharide...

Zusammenfassung:Our studies toward vaccine development have been aimed at synthesizing a conjugate vaccine capable of eliciting both an antitoxic and an anti-LPS immune response. To accomplish this, we took advantage of the fact that serologically reactive O-antigenic determinants (hereafter termed O-polysaccharide (O-PS)) could be isolated from LPS free of the toxic lipid A portion of the molecule.
