Zusammenfassung:	An in vitro method for use in studies of protein synthesis in fish larvae is described. Cod larvae were used. It is shown that measurement of amino acid incorporation activity is possible with ribosomes from pooled samples of 50–100 larvae. In assays of ribosomes from whole cod larvae with a high growth rate, the capacity for incorporating amino acids into protein was shown to be about 20 times higher than in ribosomes isolated from cod muscle.
