Establishment of maxillary anterior teeth computer simulation restoration system

This study aims to simulate restoration of anterior teeth appearance by using three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction technique combined with computer image processing and 3D animation software. The standard teeth model was scanned by cone beam CT, and the standard teeth model database was established. Using Windows XP, the language system of Microsoft Visual C++6.0 was used. Based on MS SQL SERVER2000, the maxillary anterior teeth computer simulation restoration system was developed with a 3Ds Max core. The system was used to simulate the rehabilitation of maxillary anterior teeth in the clinical setting. The maxillary anterior teeth computer simulation restoration system was easy to operate, and the simulation results were reliable. The maxillary anterior teeth computer simulation restoration system can help patients understand treatment designs. The system provides an effective means of creating patient-desired dental prosthesis with personalized characteristics.
