Distribution and selection of habitats of caddisflies in the surrounding area of the Danube River system with special remarks on the status of indicator position (Insecta, Trichoptera)

The fauna of Caddisflies was investigated in the Danube River system and its surrounding area. Larvae and adults were collected between Geisling and Straubing in the years 1984 and 1985. The noticeable number of 71 Caddisfly species could be recorded. The light-trap catches resulted in 55 species, essentially more than the results of the only existing comparable investigations in the River Rhine (Mainz) and the River Donau (Linz).
