Zusammenfassung: | Fulfilling these requirements satisfies part two of theMOC program: lifelong learning and self-assessment (www.absurgery.org). Because the time and expense associated with traveling to regional or national meetings for CME credit can be burdensome, a local internal education program (IEP) to educate and provide CME credit becomes appealing. Sachdeva et al.3 have outlined the importance of surgeon self-assessment and comprehension of CME materials and described multiple choice examinations as one method of specific educational feedback. Since the introduction of the IEP by the ACS Committee on Trauma, there has not been a study to determine its acceptance or effectiveness. |
