The merger of unions in Railway sector -- From Marriages and unwilling third parties

The paper deals with problems and perspectives of the merger to create the new railway and transport union. First, it sketches the special traits of the original conditions (among others, membership in different federations, developments of membership of the original unions). The focus of the main part is the formation of external relations towards other unions within and beyond the federation (first of all competition for members and the structures of collective bargaining).
