Zusammenfassung: | Ten species of the iguanid lizard genus Anolis are found on the island of Puerto Rico, each of which has adapted to a different ecological situation. Their habitats vary in altitude, climate, and average relative humidity. Niche overlap is dealt with through interference, character displacements, and segregation of the environment into different microhabitats by differential perch heights and microclimates. This study investigates the partitioning of the night habitat by these morphologically similar lizards. |
