Zusammenfassung: | Summary
The differences of gravity between the Pendulum House, Cambridge Observatory and York, Newcastle‐upon‐Tyne, Edinburgh and Aberdeen have been found by pendulum observations. It is shown that the observed errors of the observations can be explained almost entirely by known sources, but that the differences of gravity given by two independent sets of three pendulums differ systematically by about 0.28 mgal. If the value of gravity at the Pendulum House, Cambridge is assumed to be 981.26500 cm./sec.2 the values at the other places are: |
