Zusammenfassung:Quantitative data were collected for 1 y(Jan. to Dec. 1983) to study vertical distribution of plants and animals on intertidal rocky surfaces. Coefficients of community similarity and cluster analysis were used for studying the distribution of intertidal populations. Present data clearly showed the occurrence of 3 zones in the intertidal region of Visakhapatnam.
