Investigation of chemical sound absorption in sea water: Part II

Resonator measurements of relaxational sound absorption by boric acid in artificial sea water exhibit pH anomalies similar to that observed in aqueous solution. Discrepencies between theory and experiment indicate that the simple two-step relaxation model is inadequate. However, the results are in g...

Zusammenfassung:Resonator measurements of relaxational sound absorption by boric acid in artificial sea water exhibit pH anomalies similar to that observed in aqueous solution. Discrepencies between theory and experiment indicate that the simple two-step relaxation model is inadequate. However, the results are in good agreement with sea measurements in the sea water pH range.
