Zusammenfassung:	The process of sex change in the protogynous wrasse, Thalassoma duperrey , was investigated through histological and ultrastructural observations on the gonads of females changing sex to male. The process of sex change from ovary of testis was divided into six stages on the basis of changes in the structure of the germinal and somatic elements. The six stages are discussed.
