Zusammenfassung:Germanium-backbone network polymers ((GeR) sub(n)) are not known. We report here the synthesis of the first examples of such polymers, the polygermynes and their copolymers with polysilynes. The polygermynes were synthesized by reductive condensation of n-butylgermanium trichloride or phenylgermanium trichloride monomers with an ultrasonically generated NaK alloy emulsion in THF under an inert atmosphere.
