Zusammenfassung: | The reflection of a monochromatic acoustic plane wave from ocean sedimentary layers is considered in the context of a one-dimensional refractive, randomly stratified and dissipative multilayer model. Simulations and analysis are used to study the structure of the fields within the sediments, as well as the interface reflection properties, over a wide range of frequencies and incidence angles. Some insights into the experimentally observed phenomenon of negative bottom loss frequency dependence are obtained. |
