Zusammenfassung:Pesticide exposure of greenhouse workers is a regulatory interest of the U.S. EPA which is concerned with setting exposure limits, suggesting protective clothing and devising labeling requirements. Exposure of a greenhouse worker to pesticides was assessed by calculating the estimated total body accumulation rate (ETBAR) in mu g/hour. Using this measure, workers were more exposured to chlorothalonil than to either ethazol or chlorpyrifos when the pesticides were applied by spraying. The upper and lower legs received the highest exposure accounting for 94% of the total.
