Zusammenfassung:The genus Campylobacter consists of microaerophilic curved bacteria previously identified as Vibrio and included pathogens of medical and veterinary importance. Few phenotypic characteristics confirm their identification. In this report the authors use restriction enzyme analysis of whole-cell lysate (chromosomal) DNA to identify seven Campylobacter species, and to monitor changes in the C. fetus venerealis genome with passage in vivo and in vitro.
