Zusammenfassung: | In modern health care systems, hospital performance is measured by early recognition of myocardial infarction and door-to-balloon time. Yet, it is important to remember that acute coronary occlusion is not the only cause of ST-segment elevation. Misdiagnosis can lead to unnecessary treatment and possible complications that otherwise could be averted.
