Effect of endothelin antagonism on apnea frequency following chronic intermittent hypoxia

Highlights • Ambrisentan reduces the hypoxic ventilatory response following chronic hypoxia (CIH). • Ambrisentan reduces the frequency of post-hypoxic apneas in rats exposed to CIH. • Resting ventilation did not seem to be affected by Ambrisentan.
