Zusammenfassung: | Experiments using deuterium gas and low energy deuteron beam with palladium were conducted to allow for the observation of cold fusion. One test involved the diffusion of transient deuterium gas into Pd. A spherical lithium neutron detector gave an audible indication of neutron levels about twice the background. In a second study, a Pd target was bombarded with a deuterium ion beam, and in a third, a hydrogen ion beam, a nitrogen ion beam, and a deuterium ion beam were used to bombard the same Pd target consecutively. These ion beams had energy less than 1 kev, and created neutron counts in the range of background. |
