Dicofol detoxification products in resistant citrus red mite Panonychus citri (McGregor) and mouse

To clarify the mechanism of acaricide resistance in citrus red mite, Panonychus citri absorption and metabolism of dicofol were examined in resistant and susceptible mites using phenyl ring labelled super(3)H-dicofol. Zusammenfassung:To clarify the mechanism of acaricide resistance in citrus red mite, Panonychus citri absorption and metabolism of dicofol were examined in resistant and susceptible mites using phenyl ring labelled super(3)H-dicofol. The results indicated that the resistance mechanism to dicofol in the mite was associated with high detoxification activity to aqueous metabolites. The present paper deals with the identification of the metabolites common to the resistant mite and mouse.
