Repositioning of Roles of Sports in National Development

The repositioning of roles of sports in the development of the Chinese economics, society and people based on the macroscopic development of the Chinese Central Government can push forward the sports system reform and ensure the sustainable development of sports. In this paper, history and influences of positioning of roles of sports are analyzed. Challenges and opportunities were studied. It was held that the roles of sports playing in health promotion, cultural entertainment, social buffer, economic production and national recognition required active development plan and reformed mechanism.
