Dynamics of Preimaginal populations of Bemisia tabaci (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae) and Eretmocerus sp. (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) in southern California cotton

Zusammenfassung:Immature populations of sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius), were sampled in cotton fields in southern California; three fields were sampled in 1982; five fields were sampled in 1983. Population densities varied from 0 to 20 nymphs per mainstem node. Young nymphs represented approximately half the population early in the season, but the proportion of young nymphs decreased to zero late in the season. Populations were subject to little parasitism by Eretmocerus sp. in the first half of the season; parasitism increased to about 70% in the second half of the season
