In whose name? An investigation of international courts' public authority and its democratic justification

Unlike domestic courts, which speak for the people and may invoke the authority of the democratic sovereign, international courts do not say in whose name their decisions are made - solving global problems - legitimacy of the courts and principles of democracy - international adjudication and parliamentary politics - role of domestic constitutional institutions - transnational citizenship.
