Zusammenfassung: | Field tests using sticky traps revealed that eugenol and 2-methoxy-4-propylphenol were highly attractive to Diabrotica cristata (Harris) and D. barberi Smith & Lawrence, whereas isoeugenol acetate was not attractive. None of the compounds was highly attractive to D. virgifera virgifera LeConte but there was significant, albeit low, attraction of females to 2-methoxy-4-propylphenol. Response to these attractants parallels host plant affinities among the species. |
