Zusammenfassung: | Five parasitoids and 3 pathogens were found in Queensland attacking the introduced moth, Samea multiplicalis Guenee which was introduced into Australia as a biological control agent for the water weed, Salvinia molesta Mitchell. Twenty-two per cent of larvae collected were parasitised and 90% of larval mortality was due to a braconid wasp, Protomicroplitis sp. A microsporidian, Nosema sp. "B", and 2 other unidentified pathogens were also present in ca 2% of the sample of S. multiplicalis . |
