Background pollution of the Baltic Sea

Following an account of the hydrochemical values characterizing the quality of marine waters, an examination is made of the level of contamination of the Baltic Sea. Oil films on the sea surface, contamination with petroleum hydrocarbons and with chlorinated hydrocarbons are considered.
