Zusammenfassung: | Prospect of concentrating solar power in China as the sustainable future was investigated. Concentrating solar power (CSP) technology represented a sustainable energy source with huge potential. As one of the energy sources, the increasing use of natural gas can reduce some negative environmental effects, but it will also contribute to climate changes. CSP systems required high DNI for cost-effective operation. Approximately a land area of 20,234m super(2) was required per megawatt of electricity produced. Using current CSP technology, the electricity generation cost of 10-12 US cents/kWh was still higher than that of traditional thermal-fired plant. It was concluded that this 'zero-emission' technology offered tremendous environmental positives concerning CO sub(2) and other emissions. |
