Zusammenfassung:A study was conducted to determine the influence of no-tillage planting on the foliage-inhabiting insects of alfalfa in Kentucky. Pest populations did not increase significantly under no-tillage conditions, and in the case of the potato leafhopper, Empoasca fabae (Harris), populations may have been reduced due to increased populations of grass weeds. Foliage-inhabiting predator populations were not significantly greater under no-tillage conditions
