Zusammenfassung:6-Aminopenicillanic acid (6-APA) is manufactured mainly by enzymatic hydrolysis of benzyl penicillin using immobilized penicillin amidase (EC 3.5.1.11). During the authors' studies on penicillin amidase, they have observed that the Schiff's base yield and consequent colour development varies with the concentration of PDAB.
