Zusammenfassung: | Data on concentrations of sulfur dioxide and total suspended particulates (TSPs) during winter in Erzurum, Turkey, were examined by regression analysis to explore correlations of the pollutants with meteorological parameters such as wind speed, temperature, pressure, precipitation, and relative humidity. Analysis of the data revealed that high SO sub(2) and TSP concentrations occurred in December February, along with low temperatures, low wind speeds, high pressure, and low rainfall. Regression analysis showed that SO sub(2) and TSP concentrations were related strongly to temperature, wind speed, and atmospheric pressure and weakly to precipitation and relative humidity. |
