Zusammenfassung:In a special edition of 'Artes de México' magazine, dedicated to the architect Carlos Mijares Bracho (b.1930) consists of a treatise by the architect himself on the importance of order in architecture. He examines the significance of various systems of ordering in science, from simple numerical series to more complicated taxonomies. He reviews the lasting importance of classical orders in architecture but cautions against the tendency to simplify these principles. He affirms that architecture has the potential to be a highly creative and even poetic activity but stresses that it is, above all, a craft, which demands a vast font of knowledge in a wide range of fields.
