Zusammenfassung: | The OMNITOX project addresses critical issues in the toxicological characterization of chemicals, using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and environmental risk assessment. This case study of the aquatic impacts of a detergent project compared the LCA and risk assessment methods for data requirements and results. Significant differences between the methods were found with respect to data requirements and results. The differences in results are attributed to differences in fate and exposure models as well as toxicological effect calculations. |
