Zusammenfassung: | Five temperature surveys conducted in the Mississippi Bight in February, May, and November 1999, and in January-February and August-September 2000 provided conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) profile data collected within the framework of the Northern Gulf of Mexico Littoral Initiative. The data show significant seasonal changes, and some indications of spatial variability at different scales. Some effects such as along-shelf intrusion of deep water into the coastal shelf system, and fine vertical structures in shallow passes between the barrier islands were evident in the data. |
