Zusammenfassung: | Surveys of 91 fishers along Lake Ontario were conducted to identify patterns of consumption and risk. Of these, about were half were of European/American/Canadian (E) origin, and the other of Asian (A) origin. Rock bass, largemouth bass, and white bass were preferred among the A, while the E preferred yellow perch, walleye, and smallmouth bass. All removed the fat and preferred to fry the fish. While the E group ate filets and steaks, the A group at more fish parts. There was a wide variation in portion sizes, but generally the A group consumed more fish than the E group, especially in the summer. |
