Zusammenfassung: | Two flow-through fluorometer models were tested in the laboratory to weigh their ability to measure real-time oil-in-water concentrations and to compare results with other total petroleum hydrocarbon procedures. Comparison of fluorometer results with standard infrared and gas chromatography procedures demonstrated that all methods were capable of detecting and differentiating between small changes in oil concentration. Infrared and gas chromatography generated similar values while fluorometer values were of the same order of magnitude but 20-80% higher. |
