Zusammenfassung: | The potential for operational changes to reduce energy consumption and nitrogen oxides emissions in a rotary cement kiln was studied. Energy and gas balances of a kiln system were calculated using input variables based on actual operating conditions. Energy savings are attributed to optimization of clinker cooler operation and false air reduction in preheater cyclone towers. Emission reductions can be realized by optimization of the primary firing in the kiln and secondary firing in the calciner systems. Energy savings and NO sub(x) emission reductions of 7.5 and 15%, respectively, can be obtained. |
