Zusammenfassung:Tests were conducted in a fixed bed flow reactor system to investigate the role of Pd subsequently exchanged in Co-ferrierites for the reduction of NO by CH sub(4) in the presence of water. The role of Pd in these applications was evaluated using a range of techniques, including TPR, TPD, and XPS. Evidence showed that the Co-FER catalysts considered in the study exhibited high performance for NO removal under dry conditions. However, evidence of apparent catalyst deactivation was observed, especially in tests implemented for reaction temperatures of under 450 degree C when 10% water was supplied via the feed gas stream. The catalyst's ability to tolerate the presence of water was improved substantially via the addition of Pd to the Co-FER catalyst.
