Synthesis of radio iodinated 16 alpha -odo-11 beta -methoxy, 17 beta -estradiol

As a potential estrogen receptor tracer, the authors have prepared the super(125)I 16 alpha Iodo 11 beta Methoxy 17 beta Estradiol. Its high specific activity and its selectivity for estrogen receptor tissues suggest that its super(123)I derivative could be useful as imaging agent for breast tumors.
