Gender, socioeconomic, and ethnic differences in sleep patterns in school-aged children

Highlights • After age, the largest effect on sleep behavior is ethnicity. • Shorter sleep duration and later bedtimes are reported in non-Caucasian children. • The interaction between non-Caucasian ethnicity and low socioeconomic increases the risk for short sleep duration.
